We have created some example lab notebooks to explore how Drupal can be used for an ELN in different scenarios.
BMB200 - The first example is for a biochemistry lab for an experiment where students will be testing for catalase activity in a potato as the temperature is increased. The description for this lab was taken with permission from a list of experiments at the University of Nebraska JUMP Center. We have called this test setup BMB200.
BMB300 - The second example is of a bio-processing lab experiment performed at the University of Houston that was carried out to determine the optimal conditions for growth in a fermentor. We have called this test setup BMB300.
PERC7 - The third example uses Drupal 7 and the semantic web technologies. It encapsulates the information about an experiment in a spreadsheet (that could then be used in many ways as a Research Object) and exports the data from the spreadsheet to the RDF store, which then makes it available via the SPARQL end point.
